It all started in a bar in South Philly, where we shared a pizza and unknowingly kicked off the first chapter of something special. A few days later, we braved a 90-degree hike for our second date—sweaty, but memorably—and quickly discovered a shared love for good food, laughter, and thoughtful gestures.

From cilantro-scraping to surprise flowers at the door, Scott's kindness showed in every detail. One moment that sealed the deal? When he bought a dog bed for Melissa's pup Cole, so he would always feel at home too.

We bonded over our connection to Washington, D.C. and Virginia—Melissa's family ties and Scott's post-college days—and built a life blending city spirit with suburban calm. Big milestones followed: Melissa moved to the suburbs, and Scott became Cole's proud co-pilot in life.
